My favorite animal being monkey, I did not enjoy reading about the army cleaning out the monkey house. I think it’s sad that just one disease can be so devastating and I’m curious how the army would react if the disease occured among humans, at the time, the way it did around the monkeys. Would they kill off the diseased humans too? I am not sure how these people could be protected from this virus which is so easily passed on with suits that are patched up with tape. Is that really safe? I am really enjoying this book, and although it does get bogged down at times with the details, it is making me consider a career as a pathologist.
